After resisting her own marriage at a very young age, Sangita Bauri pledged to not let any girl under the age of 18 be a victim of child marriage. She along with other women, campaign every month to educate the people about the impacts that child marriage has. To fight for this cause, she even had to face the wrath of the villagers. On seeing, alcohol destroy many households, she even started campaigning against the consumption of alcohol. She along with other girls that resisted child marriage were called to meet the President in 2011.
