Om Prakash Gurjar was forced into bonded labour due to accident of birth, but he didn’t sit quiet once rescued by Bachpan Bachao Andolan activists. It was after he was rescued that he knew that he too had rights which were being violated all this while and hence he decided to work against the system of child labour. He helped in rescuing a lot of children from forced labour with the help of Bachpan Bachao Andolan. He was awarded the International Child Peace Prize in 2006.
