WORKLESS PARLIAMENT

The UPA government was doing remarkable work, coming up with a spate of policy decisions, executive orders and economic initiatives, for almost two months until, yes until, the Parliament’s winter session began.

We the citizens of a democratic state should have wished that this legislators meeting would help improve, facilitate and approve government’s legislative proposals and expedite service to the nation. But it has been our experience that when Parliament is in session nothing happens. Even the media time is wasted on the ego pranks of our bloated leaders.

What is the way out of this morass if any? This senseless waste of time and resources? This ill-affordable luxury of democracy?
