Shekhar Naik
The man is blind since birth, but he has brought glory to India as a cricketer. Under his captaincy, we have won a World T20 for the Blind as well as a Blind World Cup. In 2017 Naik became the first blind cricketer to get the Padma Shri. Life, however, was not easy for him at the start. He lost both parents before he entered his teens and worked in the fields during the summer holidays to fund his cricketing ambitions. When Naik is not playing, he is a sports coordinator for an NGO called Samarthanam, which funds the Cricket Association for the Blind in India.
