He was born and raised in Madhya Pradesh and did his graduation from there. After graduation, he took up the corporate job but since childhood, he always wanted to work for the welfare of animals and he found one such opportunity when he stumbled upon an advertisement in a newspaper for the position of head of Kankaria Zoo in Ahmedabad. The zoo was in loses after the death of its previous owner. Mr. Sahu decided to leave his corporate job and revive the zoo. He was just 26 when he took up this challenge The zoo is now home to over 150 species of birds and animals and also stands among the best 14 zoos in the country, according to Sahu.
