RELIEF AND REHABILITATION
To the victims of the gruesome riots of 2002, SPRAT reached out with urgent relief and rehabilitation mobilized from across India:medicines for hospitals ,clothes for the victims,office stationery for camp organizers, huts and cements for those whose houses were burnt or damaged…and so on
SATYA SATYAGRAH
The president Mr.Hasan Jowher’s public sit-in, without solid foods,for 12 days, in quest for intern-faith harmony, until 5000 written declarations of solidarity were received.
SAH NIRMAN RALLY
A mega rally stretching up-to a kilometer , attended by thousands of victims of riots and those in solidarity with them , patronized by over a hundred NGOs, seeking justice and communal harmony
TRIPARTITE CONVENTION
A powerful, day long interface presided by CM’s Security Advisor,KPS Gill,seeking coordination between Riot Relief Camp organizers,NGOs and Govt Agencies.
SALAAM AWARDS
Awards conferred by SPRAT for solidarity, through former PM Chandra Shekhar The award for the anonymous heroes installed at Sanskar Kendra, Ahmedabad.
CARAVAN CENTERS
The innovative CARAVAN Multipurpose Empowerment Centres, served as hubs for integrated empowerment in six cities of Gujarat. Supported by local communities and prestigious funders, they offered a range of in-house and outreach services in education, science appreciation, livelihood and networking.
PAINTING COMPETITION
Painting competitions held annually for school going children in honor of the famous painter, and a great benefactors of SPRAT, Ms Anjolie Ela Menon.
