Mukul Chandra Joshi – ‘Traffic Baba’
Mukul Chandra Joshi, 81, a retired Wing Commander from Indian Air Force, who has devoted his life for the cause of road safety. Joshi, popularly known as “Traffic Baba”, has, for the last 14 years, been manning traffic and spreading awareness as to how to be safe on the road. He can be seen on a regular basis at various intersections in Noida, assisting Police. He was felicitated yesterday by the Police authorities for his altruistic service. “I started this campaign after a friend of mine lost his son in a road accident. I decided to devote my life to making people aware of road safety. I was offered monetary help, but refused as my pension is enough,” said Joshi on this occasion.
