KASAB RETALIATION
The intelligence reports suggest that the LeT, JeM, etc are planning to hit Indian targets in retaliation for the hanging of Ajmal Kasab
I find these reports ridiculous and baseless. For one I do not think that these outfits have such capabilities any more, given specially that Pakistan itself will be hostile to any such adventure. For another our preemptive mechanisms have been honed a big way thanks to Chidambaram’s initiatives.
Nonetheless, guess who would be praying for such an incident to actually happen? Who else but one who faked the encounters?
Considering that Maharashtra is on high alert the terrorist, if they are actually planning such a misadventure, may find an election-busy Gujarat as the soft target
Modi will immensely benefit – or would think he would – from such an attack which he could easily twist to prove his indispensability.
So, if for nothing else, not for the love of our own lives and that of our own people, let us ‘for political reasons’ tell these terrorist outfits who claim to be espousing the cause of Muslims, how gravelly this would hurt Muslims of India.
