CONGRATULATIONS PRIME MINISTER DEMONETIZATION OF RS. 500 & RS. 1000 NOTES

This may be a rare occasion when I am complimenting Modi whole-heartedly

My spontaneous reaction to the news of derecognizing these two notes as legal tender from midnight tonight is:
CONGRATULATIONS. And Thank You.

New Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes will be issued. These will be braille-compliant.

A welcome step in eradication of black money and of corruption.

We need to stand by Govt of India in making this radical step work.

[I hope and pray that no scandal is reported: such as Adanis, Ambanis, RSS affiliates etc are not reported to have changed their notes before today]

Let us support the Govt of India in making this huge initiative succeed.

There will be inconvenience, sure. But this will pass.

As for alternative wealth-hoarding, that can be detected and accounted for. On the whole it is a welcome move though its suddenness will cause some discomfort.
No reform without trouble, right?
It is also possible that the Govt had intelligence that some enemies of India were producing fake currency notes. They will be out of business.
