AN ODE TO ODE

In the infamous Ode massacre case the judge has been lenient: none given the death sentence, 18 were given life imprisonment and five jailed for seven years. Since they have already spent that time under trial, the last five walk free. This despite that the Judge clearly held the massacre to be the result of a conspiracy.

In the Godhra train case, on the other hand, death penalty was awarded to 11 and life imprisonment was handed to 20 others. And the state protested the lesser punishment!

Clearly killing Muslims is lesser crime.”
