India- 4th worst country in the world for religious violence
A research carried out by the PEW Research Centre in April 2017, found out that India is the 4th worst country leaving behind countries like Syria, Nigeria and Iraq, in terms of religious violence.
Though India claims to be secular, as the years pass by we see it being true only in theory. What looks like a never ending Hindu- Muslim enmity, has resulted in loads of anti-Hindu and anti- Muslim activities carried by the groups on each other. Within religious groups themselves, there has been heavy discrimination on lower-caste Hindus, basically the Dalits. The government though hasn’t said anything about religion officially, but its actions are speaking volumes for the atrocities minority groups are being subjected to.
