This is an extraordinary story of a doctor and his wife named Ravindra and Smitha Kohle. Coming from a well-to-do family to leading an extremely simple life amongst the tribal, this doctor couple is the true meaning of humanism. Dr. Ravindra charges Rs. 2 for the first visit and Re. 1 for subsequent visits. He felt the need to move to Melghat in order to serve the tribals thereafter he realized that the condition of the village was not good at all. The IMR has come down to 40 per thousand births from 200 per thousand births and he expects many such improvements in the health of the lives of these people.
