4 ISRO Satellites to Introduce Game-Changing Internet Speed!
There is a reason why the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) remains one of India’s most revered institutions. Their latest promise to the general public is that by the end of 2019 they will deliver internet speeds of over 100 gigabits per second (Gbps) to households and offices all the country with the launch of four heavy-duty communications satellites. The launch of four high-throughput satellites will provide the country broadband connectivity of 100 Gbps by next year GSAT-19 was already launched in June last year, GSAT-29 will be launched by November and GSAT-11 (ISRO’s heaviest satellite weighing over 5.7 tonnes) will be launched from French Guyana by December. The launch of GSAT-20 has been scheduled next year,” ISRO Chairman K Sivan told the daily publication. Together, all these satellites will provide high-speed internet connectivity in the country, especially in a rural area, and help bridge the digital divide.
