Home Services Time-bound Projects

One Time Project

Along with our long-term programs, we organize ad-hoc projects to respond to urgent needs of the community. Some of our very first initiatives directly stemmed from the disastrous aftermath of the Godhra Riots in 2002. They include our own relief work in victims’ camps, the tripartite convention to coordinate aid effort among all the sectors involved, the Sah Nirman rally to show solidarity for riot victims in their demand for due justice.? We also spearheaded the SALAAM award-I, a manifestation of our deep appreciation and admiration for the courageous during the riots’ destablizing time. In 2004, our President, Mr. M H Jowher embarked on a 13 day satya, in an effort to reawake the community to the deep cuts that are still hurting us all and the lessons of harmony that we still need to learn. SALAAM Awards-II was conducted to salute the heroes emerged during July 2008 serial blasts in Ahmedabad.?From 27th September to 3rd October, 2009, we participated in the nationwide campaign-Joy of Giving Week and?initiated various activities.
